Organization Scholarships

Step 1 — Review Documents & Prepare your Information
Please read all instructions carefully before proceeding to application document.

1. Make sure your computer can download an Adobe file (pdf).

2. Download or open the Application Narrative and Budget Worksheet, then print copies of both blank application forms.

3. Read through the full set of application documents before completing the required information. NOTE THE SPACE LIMITATIONS in the Application. Unless otherwise instructed in the forms, applicants are expected to submit the required information in the space provided. To accommodate spacing formats, applicants should use Times New Roman 10-point typeface in preparing application documents.

4. We recommend that all applicants prepare a rough draft of their application before submitting the actual documentation.

5. PLEASE BE AWARE OF BUDGET PARAMETERS: Scholarship grants typically average $500 to $1,000 per individual.

6. Once applicants have completed a rough draft, review it to make sure all required information is included and the information conforms to spacing limitations. The proceed to either the online application forms or return to the Word application format to complete your formal submission

7. REMEMBER: all applications and supporting documentation must be received no later than August 6th, 2010 in order to be considered for funding. Incomplete or late application will not be considered.

Step 2 — Submit your Application

E-mail or Mail Submission

1. When you are satisfied with your rough draft, please return to the blank copy of the Word application and complete the two required forms (Application Narrative and Budget Worksheet) using your rough draft as a guide. When you are finished, review the application materials to make sure you transferred all information correctly from your rough draft.

2. Review the supporting documentation checklist at the end of the Proposal Narrative. (Note: Supporting documents can be submitted electronically by e-mail in Word format, or mailed as printed copies.) Collect the documents required to complete the application, checking off the appropriate “submitted as” box as you assemble them.

3. For applicants e-mailing their application packet: Once all supporting documents have been assembled: save a copy of your application and supporting documentation for your files, then submit your completed application and supporting documents to equinn@cdf.coop. If you wish to submit only the Application Narrative and Budget Worksheet electronically, and mail the supporting documentation, please note that in your e-mail, then follow the mailing instructions below for supporting documentation print submission.

4. If you plan to mail your entire application packet, attach the Application Narrative and Budget Worksheet to your supporting documentation and forward the application package to: Cooperative Development Foundation, 2011 Crystal Dr, Suite 800, Arlington, VA 22202. For applicants mailing only their supporting documentation, please print one copy of the first page of your Application Narrative, a printed copy of your e-mail submission message and attach both to the supporting documents then forward them to the address above.


Individual Scholarship
