Cornelius Blanding joins CDF Board of Directors

Cornelius Blanding, Executive Director, Federation of Southern Cooperatives/Land Assistance Fund, joined the Cooperative Development Foundation board of directors in July.  Blanding was selected by the NCBA CLUSA board which appoints five of CDF's nine directors.

"I am thrilled that Cornelius is joining the CDF Board. His proven record of success, years of hands-on development experience and deep commitment to the cooperative model as a means of advancing positive economic and social change will be a tremendous asset to CDF," said CDF Board Chair Rich Larochelle.

Blanding replaces Carla Decker, President & CEO, DC Credit Union. Decker was recently named First Vice Chair of NCBA CLUSA's board of directors.

"I am extremely excited to serve as a board member and promote the valuable work that CDF does. I'm looking forward to utilizing this opportunity to link the collection of  programs and funds that make up CDF with limited resourced co-ops and communities throughout the South. I want to extend my thanks to the individuals who nominated me and made this opportunity possible”
