Neighboring Co-operator Award honors FCI's Hannah

The Neighboring Food Co-op Association (NFCA) honored Jacqueline Hannah, Assistant Director at Food Co-op Initiative (FCI), with the “Neighboring Co-operator Award” during NFCA's 10th Annual Meeting. The award acknowledges Hannah's leadership and contribution to growing food co-op startups in the Northeast and nationwide.

As part of the award, the NFCA contributes to the CDF Cooperative Education Fund in honor of the recipient and invites other co-ops, organizations and individuals to do so as well.

Past recipients of the award, launched in 2015, include Alex Gyori, Brattleboro Food Co-op (VT); Terry Appleby, Hanover Co-op Food Stores (NH & VT); Kay Litten, NFCA Board and Hanover Co-op Food Stores board (NH & VT); Roger Noonan, New England Farmers Union; Patrice Lockert Anthony, GreenStar Co-op Markets (NY); and Joanne Todd, Willimantic Food Co-op (CT) and Northeast Family Credit Union.
